Week 35 plus 3
I haven’t been blogging for almost a year… lazy me, but I guess I don’t have any excuses now as I’m on my maternity leave and the bub hasn’t arrived yet. So I’m all home alone, preparing the Nursery Room and be a full time house wife…
I’m counting down the days now… if the baby is born from week 37, they will consider full term. So theoretically I have about 1 and half weeks to go… but I want to keep it until at least week 38. Firstly it is because the baby will have less trouble breathing on her own and secondly I want her to be born after Chinese New Year (Year of Dragon). My parents will visit in early Feb so later the better so I will more helping hands then.
My belly is getting so heavy now and it makes me harder to turn sides when I sleep. I don’t sleep very well at night and at least needing to go the toilet about 3 times a night. I tend to sleep better towards the morning, I guess it’s because I don’t have a lot to be empty in my bladder… I will have another ultrasound tomorrow to check if the baby is still breech and check my amniotic fluid level. I was very low before (4.8) and it has been increased to 7.8 in the last scan so I am continuing drinking at least 2 litres of water every day. I also have gestational diabetes so I need to eat healthily… I know what I eat will end up in the baby so I don’t mind the special low carb diet, I actually quite enjoying it but I started to super craving for sushi and hot steaming white rice in the last few days.
Baby has been very active during the day and night so I’m glad. That’s the only thing that I don’t mind to keep me awake at night. If the baby hasn’t been moving then I started to worry, especially I have low amniotic fluid, there is a higher risk as baby doesn’t have much room to swim or move… I recently talked to mum and seems like it could be genetic as her fluid was very ‘thick’ accordingly to her doctor when he broke her waters 30 something years ago… so I hope it is not something that I need to worry about. Otherwise I had a pretty good pregnancy, I was so blessed that I didn’t have any morning sickness at all and no back pain yet… fingers cross.. that I will have a good labour too!

Week 35
Hey girl, only if she’s born on or after 立春,i.e. 4th February, she is officially a dragon girl, otherwise, anytime before that she will still be a rabbit I’m afraid.
BTW, guess what we (as in Jane & I) heard last night… Michelle Tam is pregnant and it will due in April!! Gosh!! and she kept it from the both of us!! baaaaaad girl!!
Anyway, have fun and enjoy the peace and quite whilst you can… it will soon be gone and will not return anytime soon! hahaha
People said that as long as it is after 初一 then it is the year of Dragon… I also googled it and many websites said that from 23 Jan 2012 it will be a dragon… I’m confused…
Congrats to Michelle! Is she still staying in Macao or has she moved to HK to be with her hubby?
This day is what ppl who study 紫微斗數 and 易經 base their calculations on… O well, what difference does it make anyway??? hahaha
We have not got a clue about Michelle’s whereabouts but we will see her on the 14th, and demand an explanation hahahaha
I love the T-Shirt!
@Mike: Yeah, the T-Shirt is too small for Chris and it is perfect size for me now
