I killed a bird on my way to work this morning!

I was driving along on the left hand line of Belconnen Way to Civic and there was a big truck on my right hand side and a sedan at my back. Suddenly this stupid white bird came out from no where (the right hand side) , it dodged and passed the big truck and instead of passing my car, it changed its direction and flew towards my car and as I was driving the speed limit (80km), the air sucked the bird right underneath my car. I thought “Crap! I couldn’t break coz there is a car right behind me!”. At the end of that thought I could felt two bumps below my car, and my second thought was “Eewwwww….”

I was a bit shock after that… I know killing animal on the road accidently is very common is Australia, but still!!!

When I turned a corner at the street, I saw a bit of white feather flewing off from my car… there was a second “Eewwwww….”

Finally I parked my car at the carpark, nothing was found (well I didn’t look very hard). What an experience…

Many Australian have two weeks holiday from the 24th of December until the 3rd of January, which many companies or government departments have shutted down during that period. To me, they are very spoiled, including my husband. I need to work on the 29th, 30th and 31st of December. Working during Christmas period is somehow relaxing coz most of the staff have taken annual leave. I got lots of freedom at work…

I love the fact that I can play music loudlywithout needing to listen the music through myheadphone.

I love the fact that there is no emails or phone calls to stop me doing what I am doing.

I love the fact that I don’t need to wear work clothes to work.

I love the fact that there is no bosses around.

I love the fact that I can have my Gmail open.

So working during Christmas period isn’t that bad at all!
