Hong Kong → New York

Although I had reasonable experience for travelling, there were still accident happened on my Day one holiday. For security reason, we no longer allow to take liquid item (more than 100ml) into our hand carry luggages. However, I totally forgot about it when mum and I packed our bags, we put 5 bottle of Jurlique hand cream (as gifts), which is 125ml, into our hand carry bags… that probably worth around HKD4,000… When the custom scanned our bags and found out these items, our heart sinked into the deepest ocean. We had to throw them away because it was too late to put them into our check in bags… however one of the custom officers suggested to put all these cream into many little bottles which are less than 100ml. I ran to buy those travel-pack-empty-bottles and squeezed the cream into them in the custom office. My parents and I were so frustrated but somehow we found it funny towards to the end. We couldn’t give the hand cream as gifts to relatives anymore, but luckily I bought many biscuits and traditional cakes from Macao…

The 16-hour flight was better than I expected. I watched about 5 movies and got some on-and-off sleep… we arrived in Newark Airport at around 2:30pm local time…

Didn’t do much before dinner, we met up with relatives for dinner… although I was so tired by dinner time, I didn’t go to sleep until after 10pm local time to avoid Jet lag for the next day…

Thought that I won’t get any allergy but I was wrong. Althought it is summer here, I still sneeze like hell… It is terrible to be sick when you are travelling… You can’t enjoyed the food, you can’t smell the fresh air boldly, you can’t even open your eyes widely!!!! (I usually get jelly eyes too…)

But I still managed to enjoy some food, but then I also got the coughing… so my voice has become a ‘sexy’ voice… you know…

I better get going… I will do some sightseeing today

Chris Botti played in Centro Cultural de Macau tonight. I went there and enjoyed a night with jazz…

This is my first Jazz concert. It is very different compare to pop concert. It is just fun to listen/see them jam… different kind of excitment.

Chris has worked with Sting before, I personally think that he actually look a little bit like Sting himself!! hahaha

A side story while on the way home.

I stopped by the 7-11 shop buying tomorrow’s breakfast, I saw a black thing dropped from the ceiling while I’m about to pick my BBQ Pork Bun. I knew there is something scary. I tried to look around but I saw nothing. Then I look closely, it was a huge green/black beetle landed on my top! I wanted to scream, but it wasn’t very appropriate in the shop. I looked at my top again and tried to brush it off using my BBQ Pork Bun (with plastic bag of course!)… it fall and flies crazily in the shop… I was just going to run off with my bun… but then I heard the cashier said “2 for MOP6.00″… I didn’t really care, I said “I don’t need two, I only need one”… while I’m still trying to get away from that beetle… cashier replied “one cost MOP5.00 and two only cost MOP6.00″… I just want to get out ASAP! So I just took another bun (Tuna bun I think) then paid and ran off… I kept looking back… just in case that beetle followed me… gross….
