Chris has arrived in Macao this Wednesday night, and we have decided to do some touristy stuff today. We went to the Wine & Grand Prix Museums, and saw cool old cars (the first car that got produced in mass production, the model T Ford), and did some wine tasting (Chris had red and I had white port). It was good fun.

Then we went to the Cultural Centre near Sands to check out the Qing Dynasty exhibition. We saw many interesting artifacts from the Forbidden City. It was nice and quiet, with not many people around. Very relaxing.
Macau actually offers quite a lot of Museums for such a small city. It is nice to go sometimes when you have nothing much to do.

Went to Happy Hour after work, they have a complementary mini burger.. so cute… Finished it in exactly 4 bites… juicy beef with pickles too…. If you are around Venetian, go and try one..

Working can be boring… I’m glad that my desk is right at the side of the office. I can see everyone but people hard to see me. Colleagues who come to my desk, most of them would said I got the best seat. “It is the perfect spot for sleeping!!!”; ”Good for hiding” etc… A wall behind me and only one colleagues sit next to me, then everyone is in front of me… cool huh?
But I found another advertage, is that I can play music and no one will complaint about it. Especially when I’m doing boring reports, music can keep me awake. Even my colleagues around me asking me to put my music up so they can listen as well… My computer is the music player for the Finance team.. haha..
I hate those offices where you can hear the needle drop (even on carpet~~~). Our Hong Kong Office is soooo quiet. People will notice staight away if you listen to music… but luckily, I was sitting in the room in the HK office, so I can play it quietly.
I got trained to listen music while I’m studying when I was young. So I will be devastated if I can’t listen it while I’m working~~~

So busy today that I didn’t even spend 5 minutes at my own desk this morning. I was in my boss room, even when I was eating my breakfast. I ate as quick as I could so I can concerate on the reports. I was working in the room from 9am till 1pm. Surviving from half of the ham sandwish. I swore, my stomach was empty by the time I walked out from my boss’ office. Already got the stomache… I quickly go to the canteen and order a quick meal from Macus (yes we get MOP50.00 free each week for McDonald’s). Put everything into my stomach in about 15 minutes then go back to the office for some more reports… My stomach was in pain even got the food there to digust… wasn’t a good day at all… I think I will take my time for my dinner tonight…

Below is my phone conversation with “Direccao dos Servics de Identificacao” (Identity Card Department) in Macau…
Mendy: I’m currently applying for Macau ID card and my dad put through the application form for me. However I know I’m missing the finger print. I would like to find out if I want to come in for finger print, do I need to book a time?
Enquiry: Have you received a call asking you to come in for finger print?
Mendy: No, but the staff told my dad that I need to provide finger print…
Enquiry: Do you have your reference number?
Mendy: Yes, 2007 – XXXXXXX.
Enquiry: Let me check for you, please hold a minute
~~~
Enquiry: You don’t have to come to do the finger print if you are busy during business hours…
Mendy: Oh good…
Enquiry: You can just do it yourself, get your right index finger printed on a piece of paper with your reference number. Then post it to our office. Do it couple of times, just in case you didn’t do it well…
Mendy: Really? What kind of colour do you required? My office only have blue ink pad…
Enquiry: Any colour is fine, don’t have to be ink. You can even use colour lips stick.. we just need to see the print…
Mendy: (What the???)
