Diet Progress – 24 Feb 2011

24 February, 2011 in Living life (生活傳記) | Comments (0)

It has been just over one month since the last post. Chris and I are now in the Sure Slim diet which we were in prior our wedding. Chris lose 1 kg within a week and I slowly lose another kilo since last month. I guess it is a good way to lose, so we won’t gain it back on easily.

I think the hardest is having breakfast, I need to wake up earlier to prepare the food, and eat very early because I need to have 5 hours gap between meals. If I have breakfast at 8am, then I can have lunch at 1pm. Therefore, the later I have my breakfast, the later I can have my lunch.

Chris and I are going to continue this quick lose program until we reach our ideal weight then we can eat one meal with whatever we want and they should maintain the weight. I’m looking forward to the end of the quick lose program!

Diet progress – 22 Jan 2011

Chris and I did ‘t really ‘t follow our diet for the last 10 days because we had visitors, I also went to Melbourne for work trip last week. Although we didn’t really lose any more weight but it was good to know that we didn’t gain any either. So we stay around the same weight about 2 weeks ago. Hope we will be able to stick to our plan from now on.

I also noticed that I eat less portion now and still feel satisfy which is quite encouraging. I also feels better, don’t really crave for junk food. No KFC so far, hehehe… I also tried to explore some more recipes so our dinner won’t be as boring… here is one of the colourful one :)

New year = new diet

Happy New Year! Hope everyone had a good holiday and all the best for the new year of 2011!

New year is usually a good time (or excuse!) to start something new. So Chris and I decided to start a new eating plan.

I know it is so easy to be tempted by fast food store and other junk food so I decide to write our progress on my blog, hopefully this way I can keep this plan going without failing it and hence get to the weight we want! Our plan is that no carbs after 6pm, and cut down on sugars in my meals. We still have three meals a day, however we can snack on seeds/nuts when hungry or between meals. We will eat more fresh meat, vegies and fruit, and of course plenty of water (and cut down on alcohol)!

Since I usually go back home at 6pm after work, that means no carbs in dinner if I cook dinner. I have been successfully completed this mission since we are back at work (4 Jan 2010). We had steak with English spinach and pan fried pork schnitzel with salad. Very yummy food.

Chris and I had weighed ourselves last week and again last night, we both positively lost about half kilo each, so we are on the right track. Hopefully we will continue to have positive news in the following weeks! Wish us luck guys!

Secret Santa

22 December, 2010 in Living life (生活傳記) | Comments (3)

My work has the Christmas Party last Friday and our social club arranged the secret Santa which was not compulsory. I joined anyway to add some festival spirit in a “can’t-believe-it’s-Christmas-already” mood. The limited was AUD20.00 but I bought something AUD25.00 worth of useful gift to my secret ‘person’, my other colleagues said that my gift was too good and I’m too nice. I guess that is what Christmas about, to give… useful gift, not crap like chocolate or decorative stuff which wasting money and space. At the end of the gifts exchanging, I didn’t get any gift and realised that my secret Santa has been slacked off! It wasn’t very nice because it was a voluntary exercise, if you think you are too cool to buy somebody a gift or too busy to do ‘work’, then don’t join! Well, I found out who my secret Santa was and when I had few drinks down my stomach I walked up and confront him… in a nice way. He claimed that he felt very bad and something better will be coming to my way on Monday… well it is Wednesday already and I still have not received anything yet. His desk is only few desks away from mine and surely he will remember it by seeing me around the office. I am totally disappointed in him and now can see how people has thick skin and lie like that… I guess Christmas is a holiday to give, as well as is a holiday to see through some people around us.

No more house progress!

23 September, 2010 in Living life (生活傳記) | Comments (2)

After weeks of stress and frustration, Chris and I are finally home owner! Past two weeks have been nearly hell for us, becuase there is nothing we can do when the bank/lending manager is incompetent! Anyway, that’s worth another post.

We now got our house keys and will move in this Saturday! No more rent… how exciting! We are slowly upgrading our furniture also, the next target items will be coffee table and hopefully the study desk set. But it is good to have your own house coz you can do whatever you want with it! Put a picture nail here and there… paint this wall and decoration there… looking forward to it!

Chris and I were just talking on the other day, he said “engaged at 27, married at 28, house at 29, what will come next at 30???”

“Hmmm…”

We have a good life and thank God for that!
